WIDOPAN-AVS mat

The WIDOPAN AVS-mat is a composite decoupling, drainage and sealing element used on balconies, terraces, walkways as well as on parking levels and traffic areas. The AVS-mat is used directly as a processable toping for liquid waterproofing on fresh concrete (walkable), resp. on existing damp concrete as well as on old tiles or ceramic surfaces or any other floor systems.

Special function

Through its integrated channels between the fleece lamination on the front and the back, the AVS mat diverts arising vapour pressure. This assures that the abuilding gets dry which saves energy. Furthermore, this prevents any formation of bubbles. The drainage of evaporating moisture is ensured by the open wall connection. Z-profiles then form the rainproof upward closure.

Possible applications

WIDOPAN-AVS is suitable for new buildings and especially for the renovation of old structures. In the renovation of old buildings, it may be installed directly on tiled surfaces, screed coverings, poured asphalt, etc. Then, without delay and with no need for costly demolition work, sealing and rebuilding can take place.

Surface preparation

The surface should be smooth and even and, if possible, have a sufficient slope. In order to even out patches, self-levelling products may be used.

Fixing the AVS-Decoupling plate on the surface

Strips are fixed with mineral based or plastic related tile adhesives.

Note

The AVS-Decoupling mat has to be butted and may not overlap.
